100 Followers A Day on Twitter?

100 Followers A Day on Twitter?

Inquiring minds want to know, can you get 100 new followers a day on Twitter?  And if you can, what is the secret?

There is no secret really.  Its just a matter of being patient and consistent.  That’s if you want quality followers on Twitter. Sure there are lots of programs out there that will automatically add followers for you.  And that works if you don’t care about the quality of tweets you receive and the ones you send out.  My motto is quality over quantity.  You can always gain lots of followers on Twitter, that’s easy, you just need to put in the time.  But, as in most things, some people don’t want to put in the time, they want to believe that you can spam your way to the top, post a bunch of sales messages and never give back to the Twitter community.  Well there is a price to pay when you operate like that.

First of all your Twitter account will be downgraded by Twitter and Google, now that Google is ranking Twitter profiles.  Just the fact that Google thinks Twitter profiles are important enough to be included in the page rank algorithm should be an indication to the level of search engine quality Google is giving Twitter.  So, if you want to add 100 Twitter followers a day without knowing who they are and what you have in common with them, then do your thing.  Automated Twitter Adders may just have the opposite effect on your account and your page rank on Twitter along with your website that is associated with it will remain in the toilet.

It doesn’t take long to add 100 followers a day on your own.  Maybe 30 minutes or so a day.  Remember 100 is the magic number on Twitter–this is the number of followers you can add before Twitter starts to look at you like a spammer.  Its the ’safe’ number if you will.  I recommend using the search tool on Twitter and type in your niche.  Find people who are in that niche and follow up to 100 per day.  Most people will follow you back.  Those that don’t may be inactive or just don’t want to follow you.  You have to expect that all people will not follow you back, that’s perfectly normal.

Let me share a personal story with you.  When I first started using Twitter, I used one of those auto adders that advertised “this site just gave me 200 followers.” Sure I had over 200 followers in a little over an hour, but just as quickly as those followers came, the next two days they left.  What happened to them?  Twitter suspended those accounts for spam and other violations.  Even if you Google the phrase “100 a day Twitter secret” you will find on the first page a Twitter user who claims to get over 200 new followers a day.  Yet this Twitter user only has 473 followers.  Guess his program isn’t working out too good for him huh?

All I’m saying is that if you take the time and do it the right way, you will have more followers and have long lasting relationships in the process.  Hey, my motto is if you do it right the first time, you don’t have to do it over the second time.
