Twitter is based around a very simple concept, and once you’ve
grasped that concept you’ll be well away. Some people believe
Twitter has too many limitations, but thats what makes it a creative promotional challenge.

The more you learn about Twitter, the more you will realize

Twitter: 140 Characters of Less

Twitter: 140 Characters of Less

why its called micro-blogging. It combines
all the best parts of blogging with a wide level of interactivity with people.
And when it is used properly it can become
one of your best marketing weapons.

But there are other ways to start using Twitter. You don’t just
have to tell people whats happening, you will discover that
people also ask questions, and look for advice and even network
with other like minded people with the intention of forming a
business relationship later on.

You only have to write 140 characters to tell
people what’s happening.  There is also the possibility of getting more followers to a well
maintained and thought out stream of tweets because it’s short and sweet.

Getting people to follow you is like leaving a trail of breadcrumbs like Hansel and Gretel did.
First off, they won’t follow you if they don’t know you’re
there, so make sure you utilize the many widgets and badges available to promote your profile.
When you use widgets and badges, you can opt to include your followers tweets as well.
Another cool way to make friends by promoting your friends tweets.

Use your profile link in forums, at the bottom of emails, everywhere.  Let everyone know
you’re on Twitter by promoting it proudly, you’ll be glad you did!
The more people who know about your tweets, the better
the chances are of some of them deciding to follow you.
