Are You Internet Marketing Roadkill?

How determined are you to make money online?
Does it burn in your soul at night, do you get ideas every waking moment of the day spilling over with excitement about it?
If you don’t then go get a real job, internet marketing and MLM is NOT for the faint of heart. You’ve got to develop a rock solid attitude about becoming successful. Everyday you need to think about it and be about it. There is no middle ground, the real money makers, (just 2% of them) keep going even when they have nothing left in them. They continue seeking that one person, that one deal that will make the difference between yesterday and today.
Everyone online who enters this business needs to know that the odds are already against you the moment you decide to make money online. With a 98% failure rate, its the ONLY business that most people fail as soon as they start. If you are thinking about making money online, whether you use your blog, an affiliate program or a personally created product, think about where you want to end up. That is, what is it you want to accomplish online. Some businesses only use the internet to drive business to their offline store. Others use the internet to purely make money and convert visitors into customers. Know where you’re going or else you’ll get lost in the crowded barrel of internet marketing failures.
If your goal is to make money from your blog, then decide how to make money from your blog. Develop a marketing mix of social media, forums and article writing. Those three methods of productive marketing are the most sticky, the most goal satisfying. Because they create backlinks (necessary for SEO), social media manifests a viral following, thus driving crazy traffic to your site. And article writing does both of these, it’s a viral, backlink creating machine that positions you as an authority.
Of course, you can choose to focus on just one of these methods if time does not allow you to do all three. Marketing online is daunting, exhaustive and can drive you crazy if you don’t have a plan. Have a plan, and ferociously attack your promotional efforts with passion. Remember, if you do what you love, then the money will follow.

Your words couldn’t ring with any more truth–if you don’t have a passion for online marketing and building a more effective brand with every post, comment, and online initiative then this ain’t for you. Even when you’re not making money, you need to have a love for what you’re doing and the contribution that you’re making over the long term. Find an audience, meet a need, further your expertise and the money will come.

Hey Iceman, nice to see you here. Yes, it is all about the passion, and doing it for the love of it, and letting everything else fall into place.
Passion without purpose is like fire without wood.
You will burn out of this business before anyone benefits from your warmth, heat and light.
I like what you are teaching on this blog. I’ve been around the block and into some dark alleys, but I survived by learning from people everyday.
Nice to meet you!
Cheers,
Mitch
