Your Business is Not Making Money, What Now?

Where do you want your dreams, your vision of business success to take you?

Have you ever looked at it from the perspective that you are traveling on a road that has an outcome that will be both good and bad?

Your business is not making money, what now?

Let’s examine the bad first.

1. There are times when you want to quit, give up and go get a job.  Family places pressure on you because you’re not the breadwinner you used to be.  And they blame it on your desire to fulfill a dream.  One you can’t let go.
2. There will be times when you first begin, that the money is slow or just isn’t being made.  You will think that you’re doing something wrong, even though you spend hours working and nothing seems to be happening.
3. Your friends tease you, your family thinks you’re crazy, and there are times when you wonder if you made the right choice.
4. You watch your former co-workers appear to be more successful since you left the company.  And you’re wondering if your old job will take you back.

All of those thoughts are real.  As they say, “been there, done that.”  But, the reality is, no matter what I have gone through with my business, my ups and my downs, I will not sway nor waiver.  My resolve is strong, and I am going to keep going.  Here’s why:

1. Success is measured one step at a time.  If you do things right when you begin your journey to home based business success, then you will be creating a foundation that will never fade away.
2. Belief in yourself is strongest when you are down.  When there is nowhere else to go but up, reality sets in and fight or flight takes over.
3. Just when you try to give up, your business will turn around and you will get a new distributor and make a sale.
4. It takes time to build a business, Apple wasn’t built in a day, nor was Google.  Be persistent, consistent everyday and you will be successful.

I know that working your own business is the hardest thing that you will ever do in your life.  But, the economy is so crappy and there is no telling that it will ever return to how it used to be.  With that thought, you need to prepare yourself for the next phase of your life.  You need to take control and stop watching the wheels of life turn; get back on the wheel and take control. This is just a little bit of real talk for you, so that when you feel like giving up, you’ll think twice about what you read here. One thing that helps is to develop a plan, write down your vision of where you see yourself in the next year or even the next five years. If you write down what you want to do, chances are you will wind up somewhere near your original plans if not exceeding them.

Take the time to evaluate your life, what you want to do, and where you see you and your family. Start somewhere, start today. If you change your mind, you can change your life.
