So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose?

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on. When I decided to promote CPA campaigns, I asked around in Wicked Fire Forum what were the best affiliate networks available. My mission was to find out who had the best payouts per campaign, and how long would an affiliate have to wait to get paid? Needless to say I did my research.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining. I’ve been preaching this to the choir (or so it seems) for years. When an affiliate program costs you money to join, you mighty want to rethink this investment. Sure, there are some programs that will charge you a small fee for shipping and handling to receive the workbook or CD-Rom in the mail, but that is not the same as having to pay hundreds of dollars to sign up to a program that is supposed to help you earn money. Let the buyer beware.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued. HydraNetwork pays every 30 days by direct deposit on the 15th of each month. I absolutely love them! As long as you meet the minimum of $100 earned, you will receive your commission check right on schedule. Another CPA Network I’m working with, MonetizeIt, pays every 30 days also but they send out a paper check around the 10th of the month. This is great because I usually receive my monetary rewards together at the same time.

What is the payout per campaign? One campaign I’m running on some traffic exchanges that is doing relatively well this month is eBay Sellers Clubhouse Its available to residents of the United States only, but has a $33.25 per action payout. Everyone who signs up for the free trial brings $33.25 to my pocket. Shhhwweeet! Its great to target a high earning campaign like this and get it to convert. People on Traffic Exchanges and safelists are always looking for make money online opportunities, you just have to find a way to get your message to the right people at the right time.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. In affiliate marketing, there are many ways in which you can increase your earnings and maintain the account that you have worked so hard for already. One of the more important ways of increasing affiliate marketing bottom line and sale is through the use of product recommendations. Many marketers know that this is one of the most effective ways in promoting a certain product.

Before you add recommendations to you product, it is given that you should try and test the product and support. Do not run the risk of promoting junk products and services. Just think how long it took you to build credibility and trust among your visitors. All that will take to destroy it is one big mistake on your part.

My Accounts Are Wired Shut Like Ann Coulter’s Jaw

All my affiliate networks accounts plus two email accounts were hacked into today. I found out by chance when I went to logon to my affiliate accounts and discovered that my passwords and login no longer worked. I believe it was a combination of things: my using the Firefox feature that enables the browser to save my logon information and carelessness on my part.

It began this morning when I did my normal routine, check my emails, then check my affiliate accounts to check my balances. I should have been tipped off by the hacker because yesterday someone had gained access into my IncentReward account and changed the method of payment. I changed it back, alerted my affiliate manager and changed the password.

What I should have done was change my username as well, because apparently this slickster had also gained access to my Hotmail and Yahoo accounts and changed the passwords in those, effectively locking me out of my own email accounts!

I never thought this would happen to me. I feel violated and unsafe. My affiliate manager of one of my affiliate programs told me that the offending culprit has an IP address that is coming from Irvine, California. Although that may be rerouted and could be coming from China for all I know. At this time, I no longer have access to my instant messenger accounts nor my email accounts.

Never one to panic, I simply spent the majority of the day on the phone with affiliate managers making sure this doesn’t happen again. One thing I won’t do again is to store any of my password or login information to anything online again. I have thumb drives, flash drives etc., that can serve this purpose securely. From now on I will use them for more than photos and documents.

The worse thing out of this is my email accounts and not being able to access them. Outside of it being an inconvenience of course, it is minor compared to the damage the hacker could have caused. Imagine if I had not of checked my affiliate accounts this morning and this went on for days? Suppose someone had managed to get ahold of my commissions without my knowledge? A scary thought, no doubt.

As a precaution I consulted my youngest brother, who is an IT Tech, and he advised me of some safety features to add. Because as he advised me, if someone has attached a Bot to my every keystroke, then no matter how many times I change my passwords and login information, the culprits will know it, and have it as soon as I make the changes. So, as a result, I’ve followed his advice, protected myself and my commissions.

This isn’t a post I looked forward to writing, but one that may help the next person. Have you checked your affiliate programs lately? How safe are your online activities?

If you are looking for an affiliate program that has great creatives, and a solid reputation, then I have two for you.

Recently, I joined NeverBlueAds and HydraNetwork programs. If you don’t know what Market Leverage is or Pepperjam, then you already know where I’m going with this.

Although both Market Leverage and Pepperjam have paid me decent commission checks, I’ve found financial nirvana with NeverBlue and Hydra. The particular programs I’m running are leading to healthy affiliate payments.

Here’s the major difference between Hydra and NeverBlue:

NeverBlue pays 2% referral fees–so for everyone you refer, you earn 2% off their earnings each month. That’s great once you get a lot of referrals.

However, Hydra pays 5%. The extra 3% will go a long way.

But, I get pretty excited when I check my commission earnings–I won’t post the amounts here, but trust me, if you can get an account with either of these two companies, you won’t have to worry about Wall Street or any bill collector calling you again.
