The Digg Bar just wasn’t working for me. It was causing emotional angst in my online endeavors. Surely, getting top news fast should not cause stress. So the first thing I did was to disable the Digg Bar. I needed a replacement, because I had worthy friends and associates who sometimes relied upon my votes, and also to satisfy my need to get the news. That’s when I discovered Sub Digger Plus.

Sub-Digger Plus Number of Unread Stories

Sub Digger Plus is a time saver just like HootSuite is a timesaver for Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. Now you can browse through your Digg friends’ submissions easily and quickly using the Sub Digger Plus Submission Bar. This bar has a next button that takes you to the next story of all your friends’ subs automatically. You are able to see the title, topic and submitter of the story just from the bar.

Don’t want to look at the submissions in this manner? Then you can change it to the List View on Sub Digger Plus. There you can view all your friends’ submissions in a list format. You have the ability to sort and filter the submissions using List View and it is so easy on the eye. Using Sub Digger Plus, I can Digg from submission to submission in more than half the time.

I should let you know, Sub-Digger Plus was not created by Digg, hopefully the powers that be won’t try to delete your Digg account for using it because this tool is so much fun, and it is FREE! Its really simple to use, and it makes Digg-ing fun again.

All you need to do to use Sub-Digger Plus is enter in your Digg user name and start digging. It works with Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome browsers. After you enter your user name, you will see a toolbar at the bottom of the page that displays the title of the submission, the date it was submitted and the avatar of the person who submitted it.

When you use the List View function, you can sort submissions by date, Diggs, Title, Submitter, Topic and Read. Here is where the power of personalization comes in. Any of these functions can also be re-sorted in ascending or descending order. Like I said before, Sub-Digger Plus makes Digg fun again.

You can also display the number of unread stories and click on a particular user name to get all the stories submitted by that user. For me, Sub-Digger Plus is worth the time and worth a try. If you like Digging and want to enhance your experience, you should give this sure fire tool a try.
